Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you today a lucid dreaming experience I had yesterday that was by far my best!
I had woken up yesterday morning feeling pretty ill and tired, I had not slept very well at all the night before, so I decided to stay in bed a little bit longer to try and get some more rest. My boyfriend got out of bed and he was in the computer room, and I distinctly remember he was either watching something or playing a game that had the sound of lots of violence (explosions, screaming, that kind of thing).
I spent a while trying to get to sleep when I noticed all of a sudden that my body was extremely heavy, and although I had my eyes closed, I was starting to see images in my head that matched the sounds of the violent noises. I knew instantly what was happening, I was starting to dream!
I remember feeling really excited at this point, I do lucid dream quite a lot but it usually takes me a little bit of time to get into the dream before I realise what is happening, I have never fell asleep like this before.

My dream was about a zombie apocalypse, it sounds scary but it isn't, I regularly dream about this kind of thing and it usually ends up with me being some kind of Rick Grimes-style superhero. In this dream, I was of course the most epic zombie fighter ever because I could just do whatever I wanted, and I had no fear as I knew it was only a dream!
After a while of being in this dream, I was starting to get a little bit bored and wanted to change it up a bit, I didn't want to dream about zombies anymore. I thought to myself: 'I can dream about literally anything I want...what should I choose?'
Naturally, you understand, I choose some kind of oil massage with Kit Harrington (a girl has needs, even in dream world, okay?)
Now, I haven't ever actually managed to change my dream like this before. As I mentioned earlier, I have had lots of lucid dreams, but I always tend to just go with the flow of the dream. I wanted to see if it was possible to actually change the dream altogether.
I was trying so hard, I have never wanted anything more than I wanted an oil massage from Jon Snow at that moment, but I just couldn't quite do it. I kept seeing glimpses of it, I knew exactly what it would look like, but I kept being dragged back to the loud, violent sounds of the zombie apocalypse.
I don't know if the sounds in real life from my boyfriend's video game/tv show were the cause of this, and perhaps if I had been in a silent room I would have been able to control my dream more effectively.
After a while, I just got so frustrated with not being able to do what I wanted, I decided to wake myself up from the dream, using the technique I have always used since I first lucid dreamed at the age of 5: squeeze my eyes shut and lie on the floor. Don't ask me why this works, I have no idea, but it always wakes me right up.
My body still felt a little heavy when I first woke up, but soon enough I felt awake and very refreshed!
I hope you all enjoyed that story of my most epic lucid dream experience, I absolutely love lucid dreaming and encourage your comments about the experience! Let me know if you have any idea how to properly control dreams, and let me know of your experiences too!
Thanks!
